Dr. Alvaro Pereira, Clinical Research Scientist Advisor

Alvaro Pereira has over 13 years of experience in drug development within pharmaceutical company. He received his Ph.D. degree in Biochemistry from Free University of Brussels (Belgium). As fellowship, he continued academic research at Bioorganic Chemistry and neurophysiopathology departments of Free University of Brussels.

Industry Experience:

Dr. Pereira joined the Clinical Pharmacology Department at the Development Centre of Eli Lilly (Mont-Saint-Guibert, Belgium). As Clinical Pharmacologist, he held positions of increasing responsibility from single pharmacological trials up to the entire Phase 1 clinical development of new CNS molecules.

In 2007, he joined Aepodia, a spin-out of top pharmaceutical company, which provides medical and operational support in early clinical development for pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies.Alvaro has strong experience in early drug development plans, implementation of biomarkers in complex clinical trials and due diligence exercise.
